And so, it began... my ditsyness (more than usual). I ended up taking more time off than I had originally planned. I did not look at my brother's itinerary carefully. He ended up arriving one day earlier than I anticipated. So, I took a half day off from work Tuesday to pick him up from the airport, and the two of us enjoyed the afternoon at the San Diego Zoo.
Wednesday, Gabe worked a 1/2 day. He had his teeth cleaned at the dentist's office, then took my brother shopping for dress pants for the wedding. Leave it to boys to wait until the last minute to try on their pants and discover they don't fit. When I showed up to work Wednesday morning, a handful of girls in the office had decided to decorate my cubicle area in the wedding theme and gave me a card. It was super sweet. I had my teeth cleaning appointment that afternoon, then picked up my gorgeous dress from being altered. We spent the evening visiting with family that had just arrive, and relaxing.
Mom, sissy, and I woke up early Thursday to run errands. We got our manicures done (I had a coupon). Gabe and my lil bro dropped off the table overlays and 3 colored tablecloths at the venue. The rest would be provided for us. Then we all met at Denny's for breakfast. After that, Gabe shuttled some friends airport to the hotel. Us girls got our eyebrows touched up, then pedicures.
Rehearsal went well, I think. I was pretty rattle brained having lost my cell phone. All the wedding party, including our parents, and my grandparents were there to participate. Our coordinator was totally prepared and made everything run through pretty quick. The ring bearer was a little cranky and cried when he was supposed to escort the flower girls. We made a backup plan, just in case, he is only 1 1/2 afterall. Then we all ate dinner and socialized. I didn't eat too much, nerves I guess. I went home so exhausted. Gabe went out with some friends and stayed at the hotel that we had blocked rooms on discount at for all our guests. Time to rest up for the big day tomorrow!
